只因你太醜(?)

哪天看到這問題: 爲何熊貓需要保護, 鯊魚就不? 我想, 會不會是因爲牠的樣子不夠可愛?

根據衛報(Guardian Unlimited)4月3日的報道:

• 每年大概有7,000萬條鯊魚被殺. 大部分時候人們會割下牠們的鰭, 然後把牠們活生生的掉囘海裏. 鯊魚可能要幾個星期才會死去. "... around 70 million are caught every year for their fins. In many cases, the fins are cut off and the shark is dumped, alive, back into the sea. It can take several weeks to die."
• "Since 1972 the number of blacktip sharks has fallen by 93%, tiger sharks by 97% and bull sharks, dusky sharks and smooth hammerheads by 99%"

更"可怕"的是, 當我把這事告訴朋友, 他們都覺得很奇怪, 因爲他們或者他們認識的人都對魚翅沒有感覺(indifferent), 有得吃就吃, 沒得吃就不吃.

而就在這種無所謂的情況下, 每年有7,000萬條鯊魚被殺.

你會否考慮不再無所謂, 對魚翅說不?
