A Note to Yangtze River Dolphin

While scientists moan about losing a species so distinct that it is qualified as a mammal family in its own right, I only hope to represent my fellow human beings to apologize for driving you to extinction. We have taken your habitat with pollution and the ships on Yangtze, and we have entangled many of you to death with fisherman's hooks. You may not have any "use" to us, but you certainly have not harmed us. It'd be so nice if we have not forgotten how to live harmoniously with you, with other animals and the nature. It'd be so nice if we remember now.

Note: Yangtze River dolphin, which has existed for more than 20 million years, is declared extinct on 10 August 2007 (
